During the 1920s eyeglasse swent through a overhaul of sorts. WHile not yet reaching the eyewear revolution of the 1950s, there was a significant inventon during the 1920s: The nose pad as we know it. Prior to the 1920's eyewear did not have your typical modern day nose pad. They have either a saddle bridge, also knows as a W bridge, a unfcomfotable piece of metal like those found in 18th and 19th century eyeglasses, or they were pince nez which clipped on to the nose. During the 1920's glasses started appearing with nose pads, which significantl;y changed the styles and designs of antique eyeglasses in many ways.
